L/R: Custodians of the peach trees, Derek Walker (86), Robert Walker (54) and Thomas Walker (25) care for the blooms.
If you are peachy-keen to see some proof that spring really is just around the corner, then feast your eyes on these sweet pink flowers that have finally burst in to bloom in a corner of an old Derbyshire nursery.
Planted one hundred and thirty years ago, the blooms from two peach trees now stretch from floor to ceiling, against a white-washed wall, in a narrow sixty-foot-long glasshouse. They are thought to make one of the country’s longest peach blossom walls.
