The opening of the largest ever National Winter Ales Festival - Britain's biggest beer festival - at The Roundhouse, Derby will see an expected 12,000 visitors supping their way through a record-breaking 468 barrels of British beers, 1000 bottles of continental beers, 520 pints of mead, and 60 five-gallon containers of perry and cider before the festival closes on Saturday night.
