What’s more, it’s the oldest vehicle licensed for private hire in the UK, as cars usually have to be less than three years old to get a licence.

But thanks to a special exemption to get round not having seat belts and the usual modern specifications, this fabulous-looking car is a regular sight pootling around the narrow lanes of the Derbyshire Dales.

So when Debbie Slater needed a ride home from the Old Bowling Green pub in Winster she knew exactly who to call for an open-top ride in the sunshine.
